“Whether it be D’Angelo or Chet Baker, I’ve always loved a heavy dose of romance in my music. I also love Valentine’s Day. So I thought it’d be fun to record an acoustic version of a song that I get a lot of requests for and give it away in celebration of Valentine’s Day and the beauty of a good old fashioned romantic song.” -David Myles
This Friday & Saturday David will be playing at The Mack in Charlottetown (one performance is sold out, the other might still have tickets available). With an eclectic style all his own, Atlantic Canada’s David Myles has given great performances in numerous venues. He lights up the stage with his well written material as well as adding a delightful touch of humor between numbers. He’s currently working on his sixth album and will be treating audiences to some tracks from his latest effort “Into the Sun” (Co-produced with Charles Austin and Graeme Campbell in Halifax) along with some of his older favorites.
In January, David recorded an acoustic version of “I Will Love You” – a fan favourite from his award winning record “Turn Time Off.” The week of February 13th, ECMA winners David Myles & Spincount.ca are offering this version as a free download at his website, (Click here for “I Will Love You”) as a special Valentine’s gift. You can even send it as a to someone you love!
Here’s his video released last month called “Long Dark Night” from “Into the Sun”…
